How the BPC Grading System Works

The BPC grading system tracks your skill progression in Body Piloting. Every competitor earns a grade in each wind speed category they fly — you can be a different grade at different speeds, because a skill that's easy at 65% might be genuinely hard at 90%.

There are 7 grade levels
White (entry), Yellow (building basics), Blue (intermediate), Orange (developing), Green (advanced), Red (elite), and Grey (master). Each grade has a defined set of skills and tricks you must demonstrate before progressing.
Grades are per speed category
When you start flying at a new, faster speed you begin at White for that speed — regardless of your grade elsewhere. An experienced flyer at 80% might be White at 90%. That's normal and expected.
To earn a grade
Demonstrate every skill listed for that grade at your current speed to a BPC-certified coach or judge. Skills must be shown cleanly, and in both directions where marked. Your coach signs off your progression.
